Reach out

Booost's Reach out feature provides a quick way to contact one or more friends or family members when you need their help. Once you have set up your contact list and message in the the Reach out settings (see link at the bottom of the page for help with this) you can send a message to your friends and family asking them for help from within Booost.

Because this feature sends an SMS message, it can only be accessed on the mobile app.

To send a Reach out message

  1. In the mobile app, tap on the wellbeing icon in the centre of the app menu bar to see the 'Booost your wellbeing' screen
  2. Tap the 'Reach out now' button
  3. You will now see the contacts on your Reach out list and the message you have created to send to them (or the Booost default message)
  4. If you would like to remove a contact, tap on their name to de-select them
  5. If you would like to edit the message, tap in the message window and make the changes
  6. When you are ready, click on the 'Send to x recipients' button
  7. This will open up your phone's default messaging app and create the message, ready to send to the selected recipients
  8. Click on the send button in your messaging app to send the message
  9. Once sent, your phone will return to the Booost app where you can click the 'Done' button
